An upper level trough of low pressure will being rain today that will move out of the western U.P. as the day goes on. Today will be much cooler than yesterday with highs in the 60s and cloudy skies. With the approach of a low pressure system, Upper Michigan will see increasing chances of rain across the west half this afternoon and this evening. It is going to be a warm one across most of Upper Michigan today, with high temperatures reaching into the upper 80s and low 90s. The record high temperature for today, at the NWS-Marquette, is 88 degrees and was set in 1993 and tied in 1994, so we definitely have a chance at beating this record by a couple of degrees. Also keep in mind that the Michigan DNR has burn restrictions across the U.P. with relative humidity values dropping to around 30 to 35 percent by mid afternoon. Eagle River. These storms were moving east at 50 mph.
