... Significant weather alert for Baraga and Iron counties until 500

PM CDT/600 PM EDT/... 

At 452 PM EDT/352 PM CDT/... National Weather Service Doppler radar

was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles

east of Dollar Bay to 10 miles southwest of Paulding... or along a

line extending from 9 miles east of Houghton to 30 miles north of

Eagle River. These storms were moving southeast at 45 mph.

Winds up to 50 mph... brief heavy rain... and lightning are expected 

with these storms.
