 Severe Thunderstorm Warning 



The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... 
Houghton County in western Upper Michigan... 
central Ontonagon County in western Upper Michigan... 

* until 530 PM EDT

* at 438 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess
of 60 mph. This storm was located 8 miles southeast of Silver
City... or 13 miles southwest of Ontonagon... and moving east at 60
mph.

* Locations impacted include... 
Bruce Crossing... Rockland... Mass City... Kenton... Nisula... Sidnaw... 
Norwich... Ewen... Greenland... Trout Creek... Bob Lake... Winona... Echo
Lake and Alston.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... 

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging wind in excess of 60 miles per
hour... destructive hail... deadly lightning... and very heavy rain. For
your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your
home or business. Heavy rains flood roads quickly so do not drive
into areas where water covers the Road.
