... Significant weather alert for Houghton and Ontonagon counties
until 630 PM EDT... 

At 600 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated 
that thunderstorms were rapidly developing along a line extending 
from 12 miles southwest of Redridge to Mass City to 5 miles south of 
Bergland... or along a line extending from 18 miles southwest of 
Houghton to 13 miles southeast of Ontonagon to 27 miles southwest of 
Ontonagon. These storms were moving east at 30 mph.

Dime size hail... winds up to 50 mph... and heavy downpours are
expected with these storms.
